IF YOU GIVE A MOM FREE HANDS

I find myself, yet again, in a very similar season of life as when I first posted this... This morning Dustin made me an amazing cup of Equator (Eye of the Tiger) Coffee- so once the baby took her first nap, instead of sleeping I created an impossible to-do list and have been running around with the small amount of time I have with TWO free hands!

In the VERY rare occasions that the planets align where the kids are at school, and the baby is napping, I feel like the mouse in the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Except we can title it:

IF YOU GIVE A MOM FREE HANDS....

If you give a mom free hands she will probably run for the dishes, after getting started she'll notice water on the floor, if she notices water on the floor she will more than likely see the dog hair, which means she'll reach for the broom. Once she has started sweeping she'll conclude that vacuuming would be a better choice... And once the vacuum comes out she will remember there is laundry needing to be changed. As she is walking to the room w a basket of laundry she just may smell a stinky something...and realizes the trash needs to go out. As she is tying the bag she looks down to see she is still in her pjs. As she runs to the room she puts on a shirt and sees the pile of laundry needing to be folded. As she starts at it she may notice she is hungry and that it is almost lunch time....

AND THIS is where I am at: Hungry, half in normal clothes half in pjs, brooms out, vacuums plugged in, dishes half started, laundry piles, and baby has just started crying... And so I must figure out what needs to be done at this very moment and hope that the NEXT time I have two free hands that I'll be a little more organized.
